CT Scan - Abdomen & Pelvis, with contrast

CT (computed tomography) scanning uses special X-ray equipment and powerful computers to produce detailed images. Contrast, a special dye given through an IV, may be used during the test. This dye helps make certain parts of the body easier to see on the scan. It is useful for the evaluation of trauma, tumor, and foreign bodies.
