Echo Heart Exam, Doppler

A Doppler echo heart exam (echocardiogram) is used along with a two-dimension echocardiogram to create pictures of the heart using sound waves. The Doppler part of the exam measures the speed and direction of blood flow within the heart, and can detect heart valve leaks, holes in the heart and blood vessel problems. Note: Estimates include facility fees, as well as fees for the radiologist who reads (interprets) the image.
