High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)

High blood pressure, also called hypertension, occurs when the force of blood against artery walls is too strong. Hypertension is often found by a routine blood pressure test. Many times there are no symptoms. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can damage major organs and increases the risk of heart attack, stroke, kidney failure and blindness.
