Breast Cancer Screening

Screening is looking for disease, such as cancer, before a person has any symptoms. Breast cancer is generally easier to treat if it’s found early. An important part of screening for breast cancer is a mammogram, which is an X-ray of the breast. Estimates include facility fees for a film mammogram, as well as fees for the radiologist who reads (interprets) the image; costs for a physician visit (or additional costs for a digital mammogram) may also apply. Estimates are shown for primary care clinics and obstetricians/gynecologists.
